Fountain Real Estate Fountain Homes and Land
The city of Fountain, officially incorporated in 1903, was established in 1859, the same year as Denver, Colorado City, Golden and Central City. In 1999 the city’s diverse socioeconomic profile lead to its designation as the “Millennium City” because its demographics so closely mirrored those of the country as a whole. In 2002, the city was recognized for its continuing efforts to promote economic well being as well as quality of life with an “All-America City” award. This award is presented annually by the National Civic League to 10 cities that show an ability to tackle important local issues.
Today businesses and residents are attracted to Fountain because of its accessibility. The area offers easy access to Interstate 25, Academy Boulevard, Highway 115, and Powers Boulevard. Although it is rapidly growing, its small-town atmosphere is its biggest draw. Those stationed at the nearby Fort Carson military base find the city attractive for residence. The Colorado Springs Airport is also a convenient 10 minutes away.
